a sign of the times
A few years ago, wedding stationery formed a large part of my annual turnover. These days though, wedding stationery jobs are few and far between, maybe clients are printing their own, maybe they are ordering online from. Still, the wedding stationery printed here at Greystones is unique, and the clients who come to me are the more discerning types, who want professionally designed and printed stationery, on quality card, (unlike the thin card that home computers can deal with), and generally reflect the care and thought that the bride and groom have put into their big day.
Let me tell you about a recent job: the bride-to-be had already bought her invites from (spit) on-line, but needed table name cards, place cards and a table plan. Table name cards were the names of various DJs, as the groom is a part-time DJ. Place cards followed the theme of the invites, and were laser-cut gerbera shapes, with the guests names handwritten on by the client. The Table plan: was an A2 card, the names of those on the tables was printed on to discs to emulate records, which were mounted on to the A2 card with brass paper clips so they could be revolved so that the guests could see their names! It all appeared to work out very well.
